Why India lost?

What went wrong for India?

The selection? The squad? - Yes

Rohit getting injured 15 min before the match & the replacement Saha? - Yes

Indian bowling? - Yes

Indian batting? - Yes

But this team still had the potential to manage a draw. I didn't see much of India's batting. But seeing the strike rate of most of the batsmen, I can say that they didn't play their natural game. I am still from the old school of thought that a batsman plays his best when he plays his natural game. Someone like Dhoni playing 150 odd balls for a meagre 25 will never succeed. He is an attacking player and should play that way. Badri was playing his first test. And he should definitely be playing his natural game. If India had done that, a draw was definitely on the cards.

But all said and done, we still have one more test to go at Eden. We are not a bad team after just one bad match. Yes, there are lot of things we have to improve upon. But we have the potential to beat the best. And that's what we should be doing at Eden.
